Day One - My Holiday Values

As you may have already read from my previous post, I'm taking Jessica Sprague's Online Class entitled Holidays in Hand. So the first assignment was to post in your journal or your online blog what your holiday values are, those things we treasure most and the hopes we have for ourselves and our families during the holiday season.

In reflecting back on the Christmas holiday's I experienced as a child there were certain traditions that I'll always remember and so my hope for my family is that we make our own special holiday traditions, ones my kids can reflect upon as they get older and feel comforted by them.

1.Create lasting Traditions

2.Have a calmer more peaceful Christmas, Which means I need not to stress so much about the little things because we all know when Momma is calm everyone seems to be calmer and at peace.

3. Teach my kids about giving to others. As a family I would like to make up some packages for the troops or maybe for toys for tots, regardless I want to take the kids and let them pick the gifts out and wrap and deliver them.

Holiday's in Hand

Also I'm working on Ali Edward's book . . .Its a December Daily Album basically you start your foundation of your book now and you have 25 pages or more so that when Dec. 1st rolls around you can easily add photo's and journal the whole month of December as a way to stop and remember the Holidays!

Halloween Happenings

I have three things I wanted to blog about: My Spooktacular Crop, My trip to Venice, Italy and Halloween so before I get too far behind I'll just start with the most recent and work my way back . . .

We had a really fun Halloween with lots of friends coming over and going trick or treating with us! We rented some semi-scary movies ate junk food and stayed up late! Here's some pictures . . .

Here's some random pictures of our Halloween Decorating!

My oldest (soon to be 13) decided this was the year he would quit dressing up and would stay home and hand out candy, I'm hoping he'll change his mind for next years to come because I still dress up every year! So below is my daughter and youngest son.

Here's Me in my costume, I bought this cape and mask in Venice, Italy. It came with an authentic certificate because alot of times mask are shipped in and are not made locally anymore.
